Networking can be an overwhelming experience, especially for introverts. However, it is crucial to building a successful career or business. As an introvert, networking can be incredibly challenging due to the anxiety and stress of meeting new people.

Identify your "why."
Why are you attending the event? What do you hope to achieve by networking? Are you looking to meet potential clients, partners, or mentors? Identifying your purpose for attending the event can help you focus on what is important and eliminate unnecessary stress.
Have a strategy.
As an introvert, it may be more comfortable to attend smaller gatherings. However, if you are attending a larger event, it is essential to have a plan. Look for breakout sessions or smaller gatherings to connect with like-minded individuals. This will make networking less daunting and more manageable.
Find people with similar interests.
It is easier to start a conversation when you share similar interests. Finding people who have common interests with you can make networking less intimidating.
Be prepared for the question, "What do you do?"
As an introvert, it can be challenging to talk about yourself. However, having a clear idea of how you want to position yourself is essential. What do you want people to know about you when they leave the event? Are you representing your business or yourself?
