My Journey to Embracing a Bigger Vision
Below is an email sent to my email list on September 29, 2023.
I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts and insights that have been on my heart recently, and I believe they might resonate with you as well.
One of the most profound lessons I've learned on my journey is the importance of writing our vision and wholeheartedly believing in it, even when it seems unattainable - this includes the plans for our business.
Don’t ‘Small Up Yuhself’
Prior to now, I saw my business as a ‘side hustle’ and narrowed it down to being ‘small’. But when I shifted my focus to growing my business into one that is more sustainable, which requires more from me mentally and creatively, I was challenged with the thought, is it possible?
Though I had the vision, I was challenged with believing and knowing it was possible when there were growing pains like working on being more consistent, generating revenue, creating the right service for my clients, exploring new ways to engage and connect with my audience all while still focused on identifying what works.
I recently had a powerful realisation that everything we desire, especially when it aligns with the divine plan, is not beyond our reach. It's within our grasp if we honour and nurture that vision. It's like a seed that requires the right conditions to grow—faith, obedience, and unwavering belief.
Big Vision with a Divine Purpose
I've come to understand that we are the conduits through which God's plan manifests in our lives. Our brilliant ideas, the ones that often feel too "great" or "smart" to be our own, are gifts from God. It's a beautiful partnership between our aspirations and God's divine purpose.
Remember that you serve a limitless God no matter what field or industry you find yourself in. He doesn't confine us to narrow boundaries or limit our potential. Our fears, doubts, and insecurities can block us from fully stepping into the purpose God has set for us.
So, whatever the Lord has laid on your heart to do, I encourage you to do it with unwavering faith and obedience. Trust that you are part of a grand plan, and your actions are instrumental in bringing that plan to fruition.
Things I Am Loving Right Now
While growing my business, I have been more focused on taking care of myself to give more to my business. So self-care is essential for me, whether taking breaks when needed, listening to my favourite podcast, curating a playlist, spending alone time to journal, or going for an early morning walk.
